23 Pakistani universities have been included by the Times Higher Education ranking 2020 based on their contribution towards SDGs.

Times Higher education impact rankings 2020, have included about 23 Pakistani universities in the list. They have surveyed about 859 universities from 89 countries. They assessed on the basis of their contributed towards 17 SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) declared by the united nations.

Last year only 10 Pakistani universities were included in the list. From Pakistan, the university of veterinary and animal health sciences Lahore has topped by coming at 195.  Its general score for SDGs was 75.4-83.3 while it got scores of 68.8 for SDG 7 (reasonable and clean vitality), 67.4-75.1 for SDG 3 (great wellbeing and prosperity), and 70.2 for SDG 2 (zero appetite) and 70.7-80.6 for SDG 17 (associations for objectives).  The university has escalated up to 100 spots as it was at 295 last year.

Comsats University, Islamabad was the second Pakistani university to come to the list with no 221. Its SDG scores were 68.2-75.3. Results for individual SDGs were 72.8 for SDG 8 (good work and financial development), 48.-/62.3 for SDG 7, 56 for SDG 6 (clean water), and 54.3-62.3 for SDG 17. This was up by over a hundred spots from a year ago’s positioning when it completed at 332.

After that on third on the list was National University of Science and Technology (NUST) with the positioning of 265. Its SDG scores were 68.2-75.3, including 71.7 for SDG 4 (quality training), 68.1 for SDG 12 (capable utilization and production),54.5-64.9 for SDG 8, 54.3-62.3 for SDG 17.

Different varsities which caused it to incorporate the NED University of Engineering and Technology, the Ghulam Ishaq Khan University of Engineering Sciences and Technology, King Edwards Medical University, University of Lahore, University of Malakand, University of Management and Technology, University of Peshawar, PMAS Arid Agriculture University and a few other universities.
