PM fulfilled promise to ensure food supply for deserving families at their doorstep

Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan said that Prime Minister Imran Khan has fulfilled his promise to ensure delivery of ration and food supply to deserving poor families across the Pakistan at their doorsteps.

Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan said while giving briefing to media after the meeting that government would ensure ration and food supplies to deserving poor families across the Pakistan in the wake of COVID-19.

She further said PM Khan had trust on youth and needed to utilize their potential in ensuring supply of food items to common people.

She said that the PM made it clear at the meeting that relief packages would be given to all the provinces indiscriminately.

She said the PM advised the Minister for National Food Security to ensure availability of food items, including flour, so that there should be no shortage of items. PM urged the party leadership to stand by the people in crucial times and to play an active role in resolving of their problems.

She informed that that PM Khan directed the provincial governments to take strict action against hoarders and informed the meeting that there was no lack of any food item in the country. He sought a road map from the district governments to check hoarding.

PM would personally announce a comprehensive road map tomorrow to ensure continuous food supplies across Pakistan.
