2019 budget highlights of sci-tech, education, agri sector

The government of Pakistan has presented federal budget for the fiscal year 2019-2020 of about RS 7.022 trillion in the National assembly of Pakistan.

2019 budget highlights of sci-tech, education, agri sectorAmongst the total, the highest ever Rs. 43 billion have been allocated for science and technology sector whereas for the education sector government granted an amount of Rs 29047 million to the higher education wing.

Moreover, the climate change division granted an amount of Rs 7579.200 million whereas, the health sector has set aside an amount of Rs 13376.558 billion for completion of new and ongoing health sector projects under Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP).

To boost the country’s agriculture sector the federal government set Rs 280 billion for agri-wing, furthermore amongst this RS 218 billion allocated for the most important module the water infrastructure. Rest amount will be divided in fish, poultry, sugar-cotton-rice-wheat farming and for low level farmers.

For the Industries and production division the government granted Rs      2, 343.293 million, whereas for the Information Technology and Telecom division Rs 7, 341.617 million has been set aside by the government of Pakistan.
