USAID brought innovative technologies for Pakistan’s agri sector. The high-tech entitled as “Electronic Beam (E-Beam)” introduced under US-Pakistan Partnerships for Agricultural Market Development (AMD) programme.

Moreover, the high-tech extends the life of foods, and has the potential to increase market admittance as well as open up new export opportunities.

Consul General JoAnne Wagner said at the ceremonial that “We are pleased that the USAID Government’s efforts are helping transform Pakistan’s agriculture sector by introducing innovative technologies, I’m confident that this technology will prove to be a game changer for Pakistan’s agricultural exports.”

USAID’s AMD program works to perk up the ability of Pakistan’s profitable agriculture and domestic animals sectors to vie healthier in international and national markets in four target product lines; that are meat, high-value and off-season vegetables, mangoes, and the last one citrus.
