Dr. Zaigham begin Plant for Islamabad drive at ZSP

Dr. Zaigham Abbasi, Deputy Director (Chemical)/NPC NIP Project, Ministry of Climate Change, Islamabad commence the prevailing campaign ‘Plant for Pakistan: Plant for Islamabad’ at Zoological survey of Pakistan (ZSP) at Bara Kahu Islamabad on 3rd April, 2019 to save the nature.

The minimum target of planting one hundred thousand saplings has been set for Plant for Islamabad campaign. Under the government’s superior campaign in which around 10 billion trees would be planted across the country in the next five years.

Reversing environmental deprivation and managing climate change through the reforestation campaign will be at the core. Moreover, Pakistan is seventh on the list of the countries exaggerated by global warming and has one of the uppermost deforestation rates in Asia.

To combat this, an attached Department ZSP of Ministry of Climate Change Islamabad, Pakistan is responsible for advising the Government on all zoological matters.

Confer to that, Dr. Zaigham planted the sapling to encourage people, communities, organizations and government to cooperatively plant trees.
