World Wildlife Day celebrated to conserve species

World Wildlife Day celebrated on 7th March, 2019 in Islamabad organized by the Snow Leopard Foundation (SLF) of Pakistan in collaboration with the Ministry of Climate Change and the Kyrgyz Embassy.

The third consecutive World Wildlife Day Conference as a chief guest chaired by the Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan Erik Beishembiev and Federal Minister for Climate Change of Pakistan, Mr. Malik Amin Aslam Khan.

Moreover, many legislative body of the diplomatic corps in Islamabad, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International and Non-Governmental organizations were invited as the main guests.

The ultimate aim of the conference is to emphasize the necessity of conducting the World Wildlife Day in order to attract the attention of the international community and international support for the conservation of various species which were on the edge of extinction.

Minister on Climate Change Malik Amin spoke in admiration of the efforts of all stakeholders in environmental issues, including wildlife and climate change issues.

He added, that we are never giving up but working with transformed strength and broader knowledge to get better the situation in Pakistan and the region.

The Embassy of Kyrgyz to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan ambassador E.Beyshembiyev congratulated participants of the World Wildlife Day and emphasized the significant role of two International Snow Leopard and Ecosystems Forums held back in 2017 and 2018 to consolidate the efforts of the international community to conserve the population of species and  wide-ranging biodiversity.

The Kyrgyz Embassy also provided information on tourism opportunities in Kyrgyzstan and the introduction of an electronic visa system (e-visa), a video clip was shown and a stand with booklets was organized.
