Pakistan and China being members of Shanghai Cooperation Organization, Chinese Ambassador Yao Jing said to Pakistan that China wanted to enlarge its import of potato, cherry and wheat, to bolster economy and bilateral trade between both the irony countries.

Ambassador Yao Jing negotiate matters with Sahibzada Muhammad Mehboob Sultan (Federal Minister for National Food Security and Research) associated to endorse bilateral trade and cooperation in different sectors of economy including agriculture and livestock.

The Chinese government would also formally invite Pakistani experts to scrutinize the hybrid rice seed production to increase its local output of the crop and promoting its exports.

Federal Minister Mehboob Sultan said that china is the fourth largest export market of Pakistan and both countries have signed free trade agreement (FTA) which expedite to make stronger bilateral trade.

The government jointly works with China to accomplish Foot and Mouth Disease free zone and the matter is under negotiation. Pakistan believes in ease of doing business and the elimination of FMD will help boost our meat export to China.

Mehboob Sultan invited Chinese experts to visit the three districts of Punjab which are well-known as FMD free zone. Both countries in the forthcoming joint working group gathering talk about establishing FMD vaccine plant in Pakistan with the Chinese aid and move towards self-sufficiency in this regard.
