STAFF REPORT LHR: The Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) has joined hands with Chinese enterprise for the establishment of a joint comprehensive Integrated Command, Control and Communication (IC3) System in various districts of the province.


The agreement signing took place in a ceremony held at PITB. The Chairman PITB, Dr Umar Saif and the General Manager, CETC International Co Ltd, China inked the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).


The scope of the agreement covers the cooperation of Chinese company in identifying areas where technological solutions should be necessarily incorporated especially in the domain of surveillance, network security, and defense.


Dr Umar Saif while commenting on the MoU said, “This agreement is an advent of a new chapter of cooperation amongst both countries which have shared a rich brotherly relationship in the past, and it would help in the development of technological infrastructure of the province and accelerating the socio-economic development through the use of technology”.


The Chinese representative also greeted PITB for its longing efforts in uplifting the technology and ICT infrastructure in Pakistan as well as promoting it and aspiring young technopreneurs through its various ventures. He hailed PITB endeavors and affirmed full support on behalf of CETC.
