STAFF REPORT ISB: The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) and COMSATS Institute of Information Technology (CIIT) denoted a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in a meeting held recently, to set up cooperation for investor education seminars in order to spread awareness of investor education amongst the students.


SECP Commissioner Akif Saeed and COMSATS Additional Registrar Ahmed Mumtaz Mustehsan inked the MoU in the presence of other dignitaries.


According to the MoU, SECP would be holding frequent seminars at COMSATS to equip students with fundamental understanding of financials, savings, investments, costing and estimation of projects etc. The understudies would moreover get some answers concerning the Jamapunji web portal that has been tailor made for increasing investor education. Also, a stock market simulator reinforced by Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) expenses has in like manner been developed.


To ensure practicality of the money related expert direction program, the SECP Train the Trainer Program was also deliberated during the meeting. Under the planning program, the representatives would be arranged to wind up some bit of the investor related master guideline program.
