STAFF REPORT ISB: The primer telecommunication and broadband Company of Pakistan i.e. Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited has stride forward to offer online learning management system (LMS) in Pakistan. The agreement was shaped between PTCL and IT Butler (Partner of Blackboard) in this regard in the presence of senior officials of both organizations. The Blackboard software will account for automating the administration, documentation, tracking, reporting and delivery of e-learning education courses. Kamal Ahmed, Chief Digital Services Officer PTCL said while commenting on this move, “The more value added services will be offered by PTCL due to deployment of LMS. Public and private varsities, educational institutions, government departments and the corporate sector will be the prime beneficiary of LMS. The state-of-the-art LMS platform will make learning innovative, easy, fast and help create a more holistic learning environment through integration of hi-tech communication and knowledge tools”.”PTCL products and services range will be extended by interpolation of LMS and consumers will get ample benefit in coming days”, he added.The education system revolution is underway through these digitization and interactive services of telcos which have brought the learning and knowledge imparting convenience to a whole new level and the subsequent batch of students will be quintessential as well as the teachers arsenal will be boosted through these steps.
