STAFF REPORT ISB: Korean Exim Bank will guide Pakistan to build state of the art Technology Park in Islamabad Capital Territory. This was revealed by Federal State Minister for Information Technology (MoIT) and Telecommunication, Anusha Rahman while chairing a high level meeting with Baluchistan counterpart Abdul Rahim Ziaratwal.


Anusha Rahman apprised during the meeting that tele-centre project which was being executed by USF had entered implementation phase and MoIT is deliberating to build telecentres in rural areas of Balochistan as well. These telecentres will function as resource centers providing basic telecom, Nadra related services e-services in first phase to the inhabitants of these areas.


Much of work in ICT sector is yet to be done in underprivileged areas especially far flung and rural areas and the government is committed for information technology infrastructure development in those areas to improve connectivity using technology.


Abdul Rahim Ziaratwal vehemently appreciated the endeavors of MoIT and hailed its various programmes which are imperative for creation of a knowledge based and technological aware societies to bring country at part to developed nations and compete on all frontiers using technology.
