STAFF REPORT ISB: The computer literacy is of foremost important and it must be enhanced in order to improve the proficiency of youth that will further extend their employability chance. These views were expressed by participants in Board of Directors meeting of Universal Service Fund (USF). State Minister for Information Technology (MoIT) and Telecommunication, Anusha Rahman and Chairman Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), Dr Ismail Shah were also present on the occasion. The projects entailing computer literacy improvement focus were approved during the meeting which was the major outcome of the meeting.


The training programs in collaboration with varsities, workshops, seminars will be done under the projects. State of the art computer laboratories will also be setup in Women Empowerment Centers which are run by Pakistan Bait-ul-Maal.


Anusha Rahman commended the role of USF in promotion of tech education and deemed that Information Communication Technology (ICT) advancement was the way forward and empowerment in technological domains will uplift the technology sector of Pakistan and give a flutter to national economy.


The computer literacy is the core and the exclusive need of the hour and organizations are striving for boosting tech literacy in order to meet future challenges and bring country at equal level of developed nations through tech education and innovation.
