STAFF REPORT ISB: Federal Minister for Climate Change, Mushahidullah Khan attended the meeting with President, International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), Zhang Xinsheng in which deliberations of mutual cooperation between Pakistan and China concerning to combat climate change impacts were consolidated.


The minister said that few segments were raising their concerns about the probable environmental impacts of the CPEC. He said, “We are firmly committed to address these issues at all costs with the cooperation of the Chinese government.”


Federal Minister pledged to work in close coordination with his Chinese counterpart to bring together environment and climate change experts to study the potential impact of the CPEC, especially on rivers, glaciers, mountain communities and their livelihoods.
