STAFF REPORT ISB: Warid Telecom achieved energy savings of between 30 and 60 per cent during the second Mobile Energy Efficiency (MEE) Optimization project, reveals Mobile industry body GSMA. After rolling out the energy-saving technology across Warids network in Pakistan, the annual savings are expected to be more than $6 million and 19,700 tons of carbon dioxide emissions.GSMA conducted the project on ten cell sites across the country and tried the technical solutions on four cell sites. GSMAs MEE Benchmarking service assists MNOs to measure and monitor relative efficiency of their networks.
