STAFF REPORT LHR: Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) along with Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) unearthed a very large size grey traffic setup.


According to an official, two people involved in the illegal trade were arrested. He was of the view that FIA has saved monthly Rs150 million last year.


He said that joint team of FIA NR3C Lahore and PTA Lahore conducted raid at Gujrat and recovered a huge set up of illegal voice termination. A secret information was received that illegal gateways were in operational condition in a house No-16/1977 Noorpur Paday Railways road Gujrat.


The joint team successfully recovered 10 illegal gateways (08 port) and one gateway (04 port) in operational condition. Approximately 800 Sims of different companies, two CPUs, 02 LCDs and other related equipments were also seized. Two accused Anjum Shehzad and Anjum Sattar were arrested involved in running the set up.


He said that the people involved in the illegal business would not be spared irrespective of their influence in power corridors.
