STAFF REPORT LHR: The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) has developed state-of-the-art-clinics, teaching, training, research and diagnostic facilities. It has done quite an outstanding job with its mix of teaching, innovation, research and shared its knowledge, resources and skills with the allied industry, professionals, farming communities and society.
“As per the latest assessment of HEC, the UVAS got 93.3 per cent score and achieved highest W category in quality education and secured 3rd position in HEC ranking of Agricultural/Veterinary Universities of Pakistan,” said VC Prof. Dr. Talat Naseer Pasha while addressing the 5th convocation of the university.
As many as 752 graduates, of which 245 DVM, 176 BS (Hons), 89 Pharm-D, 8 MBA, 4 MSc, 200 MPhil and 30 PhDs have been given degrees at the convocation.
Addressing the convocation, Governor Ch. Sarwar said that livestock sector has immense importance and a major contribution to the national GDP while the UVAS is well catering to needs of the livestock sector.
