STAFF REPORT LHR: National Transmission and Despatch Company Limited (NTDCL) has awarded certificates and stipends to 121 successful young engineers of various leading universities of Pakistan under the one-month Internship Training Programme.

Managing Director NTDCL Naveed Ismail, who distributed the certificates, said on the occasion that there is no substitute of hard work which should be done intelligently and never take a first job as final. The young engineers are future of Pakistan and your vision should be realistic and achievable.

He stressed upon the phases of learning and said that process of learning should continue through education, academics and researches with a aim to enhance growth, technical and managerial skills.

“NTDCL is the backbone of the power sector of the country, which is providing great opportunities of learning regarding power planning, designing and construction of grid stations, transmission line and system protection,” he added.

Being an engineer, Naveed Ismail advised the internees that they should pick an industry, which has sustainable growth including power and energy sector, oil and gas, where one should spend initial three to five years as part of learning stage and to understand the mechanics of the organization.
