NTC plans to lay Pak-UAE sub cable

STAFF REPORT KHI: The National Telecommunication Corporation (NTC) has planned to lay a submarine cable between Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

He said that the country is already connected with three international fiber-optic cables, but the reason for carrying out the feasibility of fiber-optic cable was to examine the technical and commercial viability of the project and have another option of SMW-3 & 4 and other networks at Fujairah (UAE) through NTC network Pakistan with Trans-Asia-Europe-Fiber-Optic-System (TAEFOS) for linking Central Asian Countries through China and Iran.
